What Coaching Is (and Is Not)
Coaching is:
- Supportive, non-evaluative, and confidential
- Focused on real classrooms and real challenges
- Practical, encouraging, and teacher-driven
- A partnership built on trust and respect
Coaching is not:
- An evaluation or observation for accountability
- A checklist or scripted program
- Someone telling you how to teach
What We Might Work On Together
Every teacher’s needs are different. Coaching support may include:
- Setting up classroom routines and flow
- Making sense of daily schedules and transitions
- Planning lessons that feel manageable and meaningful
- Supporting fine motor, early literacy, math, science, and social studies instruction
- Thinking through behavior challenges with compassion
- Talking through what’s working, and what’s hard
You help decide the focus. Coaching flexes with you.
What a Coaching Session Feels Like
Coaching sessions may include:
- A conversation about what’s going well and what feels heavy
- Time in your classroom (observing, modeling, or co-teaching)
- Reflecting together and choosing small, realistic next steps
- Resources or ideas you can use right away
There’s no judgment. Just support.
